Petrolo

Campo Lusso

Petrolo Campo Lusso

Our expression of Cabernet Sauvignon.
Goblet-trained vines (bush system) cultivated in the highest vineyard of Petrolo. Just below the Watchtower of Galatrona almost at 500 m asl. A privileged vineyard, in a field that the farmers of these lands call Luxury Field (Campo Lusso), due to its unique location and composition of the soil.

Galatrona

Petrolo Galatrona

“… and in the end the love you take is equal to the love you make…” (John, Paul, George, Ringo)

Because all the love and respect we dedicate to farming our piece of land here in Petrolo is returned in the beauty of the wines that nature bestows on us.

Here is where the Galatrona vineyard lies, nurtured by kind hearts and caring hands to produce our flagship wine, a unique and elegant merlot.

Petrolo

Torrione

Petrolo Torrione

Petrolo's "chateau", wine made from the different grapes varietals on the estate. Sangiovese with Merlot and a touch of Cabernet Sauvignon. The grapes proportion is the same as the vineyards we have. A perfect example of a balanced, sharp and deep red. A wine that better than others talks of the real identity of our area.

Petrolo

Bòggina A

Petrolo Bòggina A (Anfora)

Sangiovese grapes at Petrolo have always been best from the Bòggina vineyard. We decided to show what this vineyard is capable producing our cru of Sangiovese. We are showing it in 2 versions A and C.

Bòggina A is a small portion of the grapes from Bòggina specifically chosen for vinification and aging in terracotta Amphorae. Barrel aging is avoided and the soft and fruity effortless character of Sangiovese is enhanced.

Petrolo

Bòggina B

Petrolo Bòggina B (Bianco)

Bòggina B is a new project of Petrolo catching up to an almost lost tradition of renown white wines made from Trebbiano in the Upper Val d' Arno area.

Barrel aged and "sur- lies" this precious white wants to show how much Tuscan Trebbiano grapes can surprise you.

Petrolo

Bòggina C

Petrolo Bòggina C (Classico)

Sangiovese grapes at Petrolo have always been best from the Bòggina vineyard. We decided to show what this vineyard is capable producing our cru of Sangiovese. We are showing it in 2 versions A and C.

Here's Bòggina C, a wine turned towards the past (the secular Tuscan tradition in its most beautiful areas vocated to our Sangiovese...) but at the same time a wine pushed inexorably towards the future... because of the painstaking care we now put, unlike the past, in the slightest details of all processes, in the cellar and in the vineyards.

Petrolo

Sanpetrolo

Petrolo Sanpetrolo

From 2001 Petrolo’s Vinsanto del Chianti is named SANPETROLO. This decision was taken because of the limited and incomprehensible views of the Vinsanto del Chianti disciplinary.

Petrolo

Inarno

Petrolo Inarno

Inarno was born in 2011 as a tribute of Petrolo to the newly born or better still re-born DOC VAL D’ARNO DI SOPRA.

Essentially Inarno is a wine showing the beauty and generosity of the pleasing Sangiovese grapes cultivated in our land. It’s a craft wine mirroring the traditional work of many little producers of our area.
